Apr 14, 2017 Ma Jingwen, Zhang Jing

A large spring job fair was held at the Dalian University of Technology (DUT) on March 29th. At the fair, nearly 500 firms brought over 10,000 high-quality job opportunities for our graduates of this year.

In the morning, Wanghansong, Party Secretary of the university; Li Cheng'en, Deputy Party Secretary; and Zhunhong, Vice President came to the venue of the job fair to ask about the employment situation of our graduates. Mr. Wang said that with the help of DUT, graduates should be active in seizing every opportunity to find themselves a job as there is only a few months left before they graduate.

After talks with a few HR staffs from employers, Mr. Wang had a general idea of their needs for talents, listened to their suggestions for DUT on how to improve talent training and made a reference of our graduates. He noted that our graduates have a solid foundation of knowledge, good character and great ambition and hoped companies can provide more job opportunities and a good platform of growth for our students.

At the fair, Mr. Wang talked with graduates who are looking for a job. He asked their desired jobs and encouraged them to face all the challenges facing during the process of searching for a job with a positive attitude and confidence. It is hoped that our graduates could carry along the red gene of DUT and take the responsibility of building a prosperous university and strong country. To this end, each graduate should have a close bond between personal development and the country's destiny, put their patriotism into the patriotic actions and devote themselves to the national and regional economic development.

Mr. Wang also got the employment information from heads of departments. They are required to attach high importance on improving quality of talents, enhancing analysis of employment market and providing more quality job opportunities for our graduates.

DUT will further mobilize all staffs to promote the employment of our graduates and provide more targeted employment service. As for unemployed graduates, employment counseling, guidance and recommendation are offered.
